Branch Banking As Popular As Online In Brazil, China, Mexico

In a recent survey, 81 percent of respondents situated in China, Brazil and Mexico said they considered it important to have access to bank branches for financial services, while 72 percent said they wanted access to bill paying and account management via the web.

    Cisco’s banking survey was based on responses from 5,300 consumers in eight countries, including those from Canada, France, Germany, the U.K. and the U.S., Finextra reports. Respondents in developed markets showed stronger demand for online banking services (78 percent), and markedly less interest in branch banking services (56 percent).
