Eventbrite Debuts a Dongle of Its Own

Rather than adopt one of the many dongles already available on the market, San Francisco-based event promoter and ticket seller Eventbrite has developed its own, the Wall Street Journal says.

    The reader works with Apple’s iPad and an iOS app called “At The Door,” according to WSJ. Kevin Hartz says Eventbrite’s new technology allows their clients to create a “mobile box office” for events.

    Eventbrite generates revenues by taking a cut from the ticket sales it helps process. WSJ says it helped sell 21 million tickets last year.
