Cordray has already reached out to approximately 100 bank individuals, trade associations and consumer groups in order to make introductions and get feedback, according to an agency spokeswoman.

Cordray’s list of contacts already contains many of the top names in banking, including Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan, JPMorgan Chase chief Jamie Dimon, Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit, and amongst others.

Some of the targeted groups include the Consumer Federation of America, the American Bankers Association and the Consumer Bankers Association.

Cordray is hoping his outreach will paint him as a “level-headed regulator” who will look at feedback from all sides.
