Placecast Debuts New White Label Digital Wallet, Pairs Payments With Offers

Mobile commerce firm Placecast has launched a new digital wallet platform that combines payment-making technology with localized offer storage and redemption.

    Placecast hopes to sell the platform — called ShopAlerts Wallet — to other businesses, including issuers, merchants and even telecom firms, as a white label product, according to TechCrunch.

    Until now, Placecast has specialized in offer provision, and is said to have reached 10 million customers via that platform, through partnerships with U.K. mobile carrier O2 and U.S. shipping service DDR, the report says.
