Verizon: Half Of All Financial Intrusions Involve ATM Tampering

A study led by Verizon indicates that over half of all intrusions in the financial industry involve ATM tampering, reports American Banker.

    Among ATM tampering cases, 61 percent involved physical tampering, 25 percent involved malware and 22 percent involved hacking. The study examined 190 data breaches within the industry since 2010.
