Amazon Files For mPayments Patent, Expands Global Apps

Online commerce giant Amazon has filed a patent with the US Patent Office for the creation of an “anonymous mobile payments system.”

The patent describes a “computer-implemented method of providing an anonymous mobile payment to enable transfer of an electronic payment between a provider and a recipient without an exchange of personal information between the provider and the recipient.”

Amazon has also announced that developers can now submit their Android apps for the Appstore in nearly 200 countries.
