AnywhereCommerce Granted U.S. Patent

Global secure payments technology provider AnywhereCommerce has been granted a U.S. patent that covers its encryption technology, according to Finextra.com.

The technology is a key security component for several mobile point-of-sale (POS) appliances. AnywhereCommerce, which took off after the release of its 2008 mobile transaction process for merchants, has previously received other patents to facilitate secure mobile payments.
