Best Buy Defies Showrooming, Boosts Q3 Online Sales

    The results provide evidence that Best Buy’s price-match guarantees are helping it reduce the negative effects of consumer showrooming. The company has been open about the initiative, launching “Your Ultimate Holiday Showroom,” a campaign that encouraged consumers to try and find better prices while at a Best Buy location.

    Year-over-year domestic sales were up 2.3 percent compared to the third quarter of 2012.
