A hacking campaign involving the bitcoin ransomware Cryptolocker is affecting computer networks in the U.K., Finextra reported on November 18.
Cryptolocker prompts users to pay an e-ransom of 2 bitcoin in order to decrypt the targeted computer. Until a code is entered, a person is unable to access files on their computer. The U.K. National Cyber Crime Unit has warned that tens of millions of computer users in the country have received emails containing Cryptolocker.
