Cardtronics, Scotiabank Expand Mexican ATM Portfolio

Cardtronics and Scotiabank are partnering to add 500 Cardtronics ATMs to Scotiabank’s Mexican portfolio, reports Finextra.

Scotiabank will operate more than 2,000 machines in Mexico as a result. Cardtronics and Scotiabank have recently partnered on deals to bring 150 ATMs to Puerto Rico and 480 in Canada as well.

“Scotiabank’s focus in expanding our ATM network is to give our customers quick, easy and convenient access to their cash,” said Carlos Lomeli, senior vice president of Retail Banking at Scotiabank Mexico. “We want to be where our customers are and having ATMs in high traffic locations like convenience stores helps ensure that our customers can find us where and when they need us.
