CFPB Eying Improper Practices In Auto Lending

The Consumer Protection Financial Bureau (CFPB) has identified several auto lenders that may be engaging in improper business practices, according to a November 4 report from American Banker.

Industry members have rejected claims they are misleading consumers. Andrew Sandler, chairman and executive partner at BuckleySandler, a financial services law firm, told the Banker that the CFPB doesn’t “have reliable information.”
