China: Online Sales Reach $210.4 Billion In 2012

Online sales in China have reached soaring new heights, closing at USD 210.4 billion in 2012, which was a 64.7 percent increase from 2011, reported The Paypers. Data from the Internet Society of China reported that 6.3 percent of China’s total retail sales can be attributed to ecommerce. China’s secretary general of society has credited the swift increase to the accelerated development of ecommerce in the industrial, agricultural, financial and transportation divisions.
