Deloitte: Two-Thirds of Smartphone Owners Shop Online For Holidays

Sixty-eight percent of smartphone users rely on their mobile devices for holiday shopping, Mobile Commerce Daily reports.

Deloitte, a financial analytics firm, stated in its 2103 Annual Holiday Survey that consumers are turning to their smartphones and tablets to make purchases, schedule orders and look for new deals.

“Our data showed that smartphone penetration is now over 60 percent,” Alison Paul, a senior retail executive at Deloitte, told the media outlet. “Of those smartphone users nearly seven out of ten said that they were going to use their phone during their holiday shopping.
