Snapdeal, a popular Indian eCommerce marketplace, recently raised $50 million in backing, reported VenutreBeat. The funding was led by eBay, along with other investors including Bessemer, Venture Partners, Nexus Venture Partners, and IndoUS Venture Partners.
Back in 2012, Snapdeal started as a site where consumers could collect daily deals, but has since become a full-service marketplace for online shopping. Snapdeal is an eCommerce platform with multiple categories such as mobile services, computers, clothing retail, perfume, books and more.
