eBay, Zappos Apps Update For iOS 7

B&H Photo, eBay, One Kings Lane and Zappos are among the first wave of retailers to redesign their Apple mobile apps specifically for the newly launched iOS 7, Mobile Commerce Daily reported on September 19.

iOS7 allows apps to offer gesture- and photo-based features. For example, eBay’s app has been upgraded to let users to swipe their finger to reveal search options.

“When an operating system’s look and feel changes, the challenge is not only to make sure the app works, but that the look and feel of the app matches the operating system’s design,” Hiedi Utley, an iOS software engineer at Zappos, told the media outlet.
