Uncovet, an eCommerce website that specializes in accessories, apparel and home decor, has garnered roughly $1.3 million in funding from Siemer Ventures, Javelin Venture Partners and angel investor Paige Craig in its quest to be the go-to recommendation engine for indie shoppers, TechCrunch says.
Called, “the next-generation of Urban Outfitters” by Michael Jones, CEO of the startup advisory firm Science that has helped to develop the company (http://www.science-inc.com/), the media outlet indicates that Uncovet’s shoppers visit the site six times and open nine emails a month.
Uncovet says it plans to release its first iPhone app in early June.
