MasterCard and the Autobots have announced a new partnership designed to help fight both online card fraud and the evil race of alien robots known as the Decepticons.
The new partnership will leverage MasterCard’s encryption and tokenization technology, as well as the Autobot’s ability to transform into giant war-fighting robots capable of protecting or destroying life as they see fit.
“Our new deal with the Autobots ties in perfectly to MasterCard’s vision of a World Beyond Cash, as well as their vision for a World Beyond Earth” said a MasterCard spokesperson. “It shows MasterCard’s commitment to protecting both online consumer data, as well as the human race from extinction.”
Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, cited MasterCard’s experience across multiple verticals as a key factor in the partnership.
“What we’re really looking for here is scale,” Prime said. “MasterCards’ ability to reach millions around the globe through their partnerships was very attractive to us. Now when we’re out on the streets fighting to protect humanity, we can be sure our transactional data is secured.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
