MICROS, payleven Partner For Chip & PIN-Supported POS System

Hospitality and retail tech provider MICROS announced that, together with mobile card payment processor payleven, the companies will offer what they call “the world’s first cloud-based point-of-sale solution with integrated mobile chip & PIN card payment technology.”

    MICROS and payleven say that this new product will enable merchants to register online without paperwork, avoid long-term contracts with rolling subscriptions and experience a seamless transaction flow.

    “Today marks another important step on that journey partnering with MICROS, a proven leader in Point-of-Sale technology,” Alston Zecha, payleven’s COO and founder, said in the release. “We are continuing to help growing businesses expand, by designing a system that can scale to offer increasingly sophisticated functionality as required.”

    The service was made available to U.K. customers yesterday and is expected to roll out across Europe shortly.
