Oldest Bank In Rwanda Offers New Tech To Make Banking Easier

Banque Commerciale du Rwanda (BCR) is the oldest bank in the country and has announced it is installing new technology that aims to simplify banking for its customers, reported All Africa. The head of IT and BCR recently reported that the bank newly introduced a payment system in the universities’ financial systems. The system was designed to recognize students’ identify, which means students will no longer be required to keep deposit slips and can benefit from a reduced fee payment process.

    The bank also reported that it has partnered with Rwanda Revenue Authority to offer fiscal tax payment services through different channels such as over-the-counter. At present, the bank announced it is attempting to launch non-fiscal tax payments such as visa fees.
