Oman’s BankDhofar, Giesecke & Devrient Team Up For Instant Card Issuance

BankDhofar, a bank in the Sultanate of Oman, announced it has selected Munich-based Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) to commence instant card issuance solutions, reported Finextra. BankDhofar customers will be able to obtain debit cards immediately after opening the account, and they will also be able to begin using the card right away.

    The agreement will also require G&D to integrate its software in all BankDhofar branches for customizing customer and payment cards. Moreover, G&D will provide the bank with EMV cards and be available to assist with instance issuance service support.
