Payleven Secures Deal With Italian Post Office For Card Readers

Payleven, a European payments company, announced a new agreement with the Italian post office to deploy its Chip & Pin technology to 14,000 Posta Italiana and BancoPosta locations across Italy.

Small and medium enterprises and freelancers can employ payleven’s card reader to accept card payments through a mobile app.

Posta Italiana will begin distribution in October of this year, and customers will need to set up a BancoPosta account to use the card readers.

“This new way to accept mobile card payments combines safety, ease of use and affordable pricing,” said Carolina Gianardi, head of retail at BancoPosta. “With this co-operation Poste Italiane is expanding its attractive value added services for small and medium sized businesses through keeping a constant eye on innovation.”
