Payments Firms Lead 2013 Fintech Investment

New research released by venture capital database CB Insights on July 12 indicates that total U.S. fintech investment from private equity firms and angels investors will pass $2.5 billion in 2013, the organization said in a release.

    CB Insights said payments specialists have secured the most funding, accounting for 44 percent of all deals and 28 percent of the money. Only banking and corporate finance firms received a larger share of the money, with 29 percent.
