PayPal Expands Payment Service In Australia

Tech giant Apple purchased Locationary, a Toronto-based startup that manages and exchanges local business data, on July 19, PCWorld reported.

Apple declined to release insight into why it purchased the company. However, the media outlet suggested that the acquisition could help Apple increase the quality of its Maps service.

PayPal has announced new partnerships with EatNow and OrderMate in Australia to bring its payments service to thousands of bars, cafes and restaurants across the nation, ZDNet reported on July 19

The media outlet said that the partnership will increase the number of offline merchants that use PayPal from 160 to 2,000.
