Remittances In Emerging Market Jump 6.4 Percent Since 2012

According to Rappler, May 2013 remittances from emerging markets increased by 6.2 percent in comparison to the same month in 2012, reaching a $2 billion mark. These figures also indicate that the month of May represents the highest total of remittances transactions in 2013.  By May 2013, global remittances reached a total of $9.7 billion, which is 6.4 percent higher than the total $9.1 billion recorded in 2012.
