Survey: U.S. Bitcoin Awareness On The Rise

One-quarter of Americans (25.3 percent) are now familiar with Bitcoin, according to TechCrunch. The finding comes from On Device,, a U.K.-based mobile internet market research group,.

Bitcoin awareness was higher in Argentina and the United Kingdom, where 37.9 percent and 32.2 percent of respondents reported being aware of Bitcoin, respectively.

The majority of people in all three countries knew of Bitcoin. However, the United States came in third in this part of the study as well, with only 62 percent of Americans reporting that they trusted Bitcoin. This compared to the 73 percent and 69 percent of consumers in Argentina and the United Kingdom that said they trusted the fledgling currency alternative.
