Ugandan Tax Hike Leads To Higher mPayments Fees

MTN Uganda revealed that it has reformed the mobile money rates due to new government levies for mobile transactions, reported Humanipo. The new 10 percent tax entered into effect on July 2, and as a result MTN has increased transaction fees. The new fees will apply to all money transfer payments by customers, including the transactions offered by non-telecom operators.
