Visa Launches Mobile Payments Platform In Finland

3V Transaction Services, the Irish mobile payments firm, announced a new agreement to introduce a virtual Visa payment card service in Finland, reported the Independent.ie. The agreement involves the third largest mobile operator in Finland, DNA Mobile. The new program will allow the three million customers to conduct mobile payment transactions with their mobile phones and over the Internet.

“We believe there will be demand for the new virtual Visa, since online buying, for example, is quite safe and easy to manage with it,” stated DNA’s vice president for consumer business, Pekka Vaisanen.
