@WalmartLabs Acquires Torbit In eCommerce Bid

Global retail giant Walmart’s eCommerce innovation arm, @WalmartLabs, purchased website acceleration firm Torbit on July 24 for an undisclosed sum, Internet Retailer reported.

    “With Torbit’s Site Optimization technology, we will be able to optimize our website experience no matter where our customers are shopping – be it on a desktop, tablet or mobile phone,” the company wrote in a blog post. 

    Founded in 2010, California-based Torbit provides performance optimization services for clients.
