Hacktivist group Anonymous Ukraine was reportedly posted more than 7 million credit card numbers online.
While the card numbers are real, most were not paired with CCV (card verification value) security codes or card expiration information, according to BankInfoSecuity.com. “Without this information, committing fraud with the leaked information may be more difficult,” the publication said, citing cybersecurity firm Risk Based Security.
The hacktivists also claimed to have close to 80 million card identities at their disposal.
