Google Launches Southeast Asia Local Currency Support For App Store

Android users in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines can now pay for Google Play apps in their native currency.

The search engine giant launched payment support in those countries for Android app buyers, The Next Web reported on Feb. 7.

Developers in those countries now may launch free and paid-for apps via Google Play with prices denominated in local currencies.

A number of other countries in the region, including Vietnam and Indonesia, already offer this support.
