Ovidio Egido, who has served as MasterCard’s senior business leader for Spain, has been appointed the company’s country manager for Spain.
Egido has worked for MasterCard since 2012. He previously served as an independent contractor for Telefonica, 3V Transactional Services and Payment System Europe.
“We are living in a key moment at the payments space, not just due to the continuous innovations in technology that the market is facing, but also because of the changes in the consumers’ habits and the MasterCard partners in the country”, Egido said in a press statement. “Our efforts will focus in the development and implementation of innovative payment solutions conformed to this new reality. We want to become the technological ally for consumers, retailers and financial entities, and offer them products and services with added value to make come true our vision of a world beyond cash.”
