Meu Dinheiro Claro, the JV signed by telco Claro (AMX) and Bradesco, one of major banks, was able to add a new tool which allows customers registering via mobile vs. visiting the store and which is expected to boost adoption.
The app allows checking balances and making payments, transfers and mobile top-ups. The monetary authority Conselho Monetário Nacional issued new rules in 2013, which allow for simplified register of users in some cases.
“We believe that with government support for m-payments, we’ll have a direct impact in adoption, due to registering process simplicity through mobiles. Additionally, users can add the product for free as technology doesn’t consume mobile credit, making it easier to use the app” affirmed Alexandre Olivari, Claro VAS director.
Users are able to add monetary values to the app in 47k Bradesco Expresso, 32k ATMs and 15k Banco24horas.
