Olset Raises $1.1 Million To Make Business Travel More Personal

OLSET wants to make travel better for the business people who have the duty of planning their own travel through online sites, and they have $1.1 million in new seed funding to make that happen.

The platform not only allows business travelers to search for accommodations and find hotels based on a variety of factors. The service also accounts for the customer’s history of travel to create a personalized ranking for each individual user.

OLSET look sat more than just individual user data, in an attempt to makes it algorithm “smarter” the program also scours the web for information it from various services. Using travel ratings and recommendations sites for various reviews and information about hotels it hopes to build better than average recommendations for the business traveler.

Since launch it’s passed more than 10 million categorized reviews and 40 million sentiments collected as part of its data set, the goal is to expand that to 100 million reviews and 500 million sentiments by the end of the year.

OLSET has raised $1.1 million in seed funding in a round led by Montage Ventures, with participation from investors that include Digital Garage, 500 startups, Plug & Play Tech Ventures, XG Ventures, Principle Innovation, Merced Partners. They also have the support of may angel investors.
