Tickets.com Rolls Out Apple Pay

Tickets.com announced yesterday that they have officially launched the first venue ticketing integration to support the Apple Pay service. The Bushnell, a new app, is now available on the App Store, where customers of The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Harford, CT, may purchase tickets in a quick and secure fashion by utilizing the newest mobile wallet solution.

David Fay, President and CEO of The Bushnell touted “The Bushnell is very excited to expand its relationship with Tickets.com by becoming the first performing arts venue to integrate ticketing via Apple Pay.” Fay also then went on to say, “The Bushnell app will extend the capabilities of our recently redesigned website, bushnell.com, and offer our customers a new, fast, and secure option for purchasing tickets.”

The Bushnell currently utilizes a Tickets.com ticketing platform called ProVenue. ProVenue is able to provide scalable ticket purchasing solutions which is created from fully integrated and tailored end-to-end services.

Joe Choti, CEO at Tickets.com also expressed enthusiasm about the integration of Apple Pay, “We are proud to debut Apple Pay support for The Bushnell in anticipation of its holiday performance season and a 2015 calendar filled with popular events.” And also specified the reason the significance behind the integration of the service, “This integration is another important development in our on-going commitment to mobile ticketing technology and the dynamic possibilities it presents for our venue clients and their millions of patrons.”

Tickets.com currently provides technology solutions to more than 1,000 sports and entertainment clients around the globe and is currently in the works of rolling out the Apple Pay service to all of their clients, which includes MLB.com At the Ballpark mobile app. As each venue starts to integrate the service, an announcement will be made.
