The new funding includes a $100 million Series C funding round led by Blackbird and a $240 million growth investment led by General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund (CVF), according to the release.

The funding round values Heidi at $900 billion, according to the release. The figure is up from the $465 billion valuation the company achieved in an October Series B funding round in which it raised $65 million.

Heidi offers an AI Scribe that transcribes healthcare visits, Evidence that gives clinicians access to medical research at the point of care, Remote that captures audio and Dictate that provides voice-to-text capabilities, according to the release.

In the two years since Heidi launched its platform, the platform has supported over 175 million patient visits and more than 67 million clinical hours. The platform is being used in 190 countries and 110 languages, and the company’s annual recurring revenue has reached $50 million, the release said.

With the new funding, Heidi will deepen the platform’s adoption within global health systems, add agentic capabilities that support the work around patient visits and continue to build the regulatory and clinical safety foundations for those capabilities, per the release.

“From the day I started Heidi, the ambition was always bigger than writing doctor’s notes,” Heidi Co-Founder and CEO Dr. Thomas Kelly said in the release. “I imagined that AI would sit alongside clinicians and complete real work under their supervision. That’s the shift we’re now making, from documenting care to helping clinicians act on it.”

Pranav Singhvi, co-founder and partner at CVF, General Catalyst, said in the release that Heidi “has shown it can win trust inside the world’s most complex health systems.”

Michael Tolo, general partner at Blackbird, said in the release that Heidi invested early in building its own models and training capability and has earned “the right to capture valuable downstream workflows in the most rigorous clinical settings globally.”

PYMNTS reported in April that there has been a proliferation of AI chatbots and virtual assistants in clinical settings. Examples include OpenEvidence’s AI-powered medical search engine, OpenAI’s ChatGPT for Clinicians and AWS’s agentic AI solution that automates administrative tasks for healthcare professionals.
