B2B E-payments, E-commerce Merge in TransFirst Partnership

When companies choose to launch sales operations online, not only do they need support in building and hosting their online marketplaces, but they need services to process all of the payments coming in through their digital portal. A new partnership in the e-commerce and e-payments industries will now offer solutions in both sides of these demands.

Electronic payments firm TransFirst revealed Thursday (Feb. 26) that it has forged a new partnership with e-commerce platform ExoVend to strengthen its online commerce services in both the B2B and B2C spaces.

According to the companies, TransFirst will integrate its payments processing technology into ExoVend, owned by MWRC Internet Sales. The platform offers full B2B sales capabilities, reports said, with customizable and easy-to-use features for online vendors.

According to MWRC CEO Mark Kelly, the partnership will offer its sellers an affordable payments processing tool. “We believe TransFirst will offer our clients excellent merchant account services at highly competitive rates and can add considerable values to their online businesses, now and in the future,” he said.

TransFirst will offer its card processing business to MWRC businesses, the firm said.

The partnership comes at a crucial time for digital commerce in the global economy. A recent report by Oban Digital found that online businesses want to take their online operations global, but many aren’t ready to do so by optimizing their online presence for various markets.

Still, as businesses look towards a global market, companies will need to get online or be left behind. E-commerce sales in the US alone, reports say, are likely to hike 14 percent in 2015, totaling $350 million.
