Insite Brings The eCommerce Know-How To B2B

Insite has emerged as a frontrunner in the world of eCommerce when it comes to getting B2B players like manufacturers and wholesalers to launch their sales operations online. The company has expanded this past year through partnerships and new market entrances, with its InsiteCommerce unit inking a deal with Dell in March as well as a new customer growth services tool rollout in June.

Once again, Insite is making moves to extend its reach. An announcement on Monday (July 27) revealed that the company will be working with product information management firm Enterworks in an effort to provide B2B sellers with an easy-to-use online sales platform.

The target of their collaboration, the companies said, is to ensure that B2B suppliers provide the information buyers need when they migrate their sales efforts to the digital world. “As B2B organizations move to eBusiness to support better customer experiences and higher growth, many struggle with the prospect of feeding those channels with rich, accurate and complete product data and properly marketing their offerings to drive business,” the firms said.

But through their tie-up, Insite will now integrate Enterworks’ Enable platform that provides a single, straightforward way for businesses to provide product information and content in their online sales strategies. The service aids B2B sellers who want to launch a new product catalogue or synchronize their omnichannel marketing campaigns, the companies said.

The tools also provide a facilitated method for updating product data as targeted customers and the industry evolve, and are compatible with desktop, mobile and tablet devices.

The global B2B eCommerce industry is expected to see massive growth in the near future, with analysts predicting that the space will see a $1 trillion valuation by the end of the decade. By the end of 2015 alone, researchers found that B2B could more than double the sales seen in the business-to-consumer space, a shift attributed to evolving corporate buying behavior.
