Chrome River Meets Higher Ed’s T&E Needs

Travel and expense management can be a major source of spending for any company. But businesses have various T&E needs depending on their field of work. Chrome River, one provider of corporate expense management, has just struck a deal to provide targeted T&E services.

That target is the higher education industry, and Chrome River will be working with higher-ed Software-as-a-Service firm Ellucian to bring its solution to life.

Ellucian Travel and Expense Management powered by Chrome River will automate much of the expense reporting and processing for CFOs and managers in the higher education sector. In a statement, Ellucian CEO and President Jeff Ray said the T&E tool brings this market the much-needed benefits of cash flow and spend visibility realized within other industries using sophisticated solutions.

“Together with Chrome River, we’re helping colleges and universities become more efficient and more effective,” he stated. “Ellucian Travel and Expense Management providers a modern, cloud-based user experience that will ease the expense reporting process, while still meeting the unique needs of higher education.”

Chrome River will provide the infrastructure and technology that allows higher education professionals to access tools like pre-trip authorization, expense reimbursement processes and tax features. According to the companies, the T&E tool supports travel in more than 90 countries by working with various languages.

The solution also integrates into various financial institutions and travel companies, the firms added.
