Comdata Unveils B2B Payments Card For Small Fleets

Comdata Inc. has introduced its new Comdata Fleet Card, which was created for fleets that have under 50 vehicles. The card comes with fuel savings, discounts and zero card transaction charges for a monthly fee per active card, according to a Tuesday (Feb. 23) announcement from Comdata, which is a FLEETCOR company.

Comdata Senior Vice President of Product and Innovation Justin King said in the announcement that the strength of the supply chain becomes more and more essential to make sure that critical products are efficiently transported as the pandemic continues into this year.

“Comdata is thinking outside the box to keep America’s fleets moving forward and ensure that our fleet customers and their drivers have everything they need to focus on the road ahead,” King said in the announcement.

The new card has access to Comdata Extra Mile Discount Program, which offers discounts on truck parking, lodging, tires and prescription medication. According to the announcement, the fleet card and the discount program are part of its collection of offerings meant to make fleet operations and driver quality of life when traveling as ideal as possible. Moreover, the fleet card equips small fleets with acceptance at more than 8,000 places in the Comdata network.

Card benefits encompass round-the-cloud customer service, tailored dashboards and insights, live fraud alerts and monitoring, access to reporting and data tools to help control fuel expenditures, a discount on hotel stays inside of the Comdata Hotel Network, discounts on tires and retreads, and live controls to stop misuse from occurring.

The news comes as Comdata launched its Virtual Comchek digital payment product. Over 100,000 companies across the nation take the Virtual Comchek for expenses like wholesale products, warehouse expenses, auto repair, roadside assistance and auto parts. At the time, Comdata referred to the Virtual Comchek offering as the next phase of the legacy paper Comchek that was first launched in the early 1970s.
