Fleet management platform Coast has teamed up with the convenience store chain RaceTrac to offer Coast customers discounts on fuel purchases.
As the companies said in a news release Monday (June 13), the partnership gives customers a 4-cents-per-gallon discount on all fuel purchases at RaceTrac’s hundreds of locations in the American Southeast.
“We’re thrilled to partner with RaceTrac to create more compelling savings for businesses operating fleets,” said Jordan Weinberg, head of business development at Coast. “This is an extension of our commitment to providing simple and rewarding solutions, including low fees, great technology to manage fleet expenses, no personal guarantees, and a full month to pay.”
The companies say the savings are automatic, with a rebate applied at the end of each month based on gallons purchased, with no redemption or activation required.
Coast, based in New York, offers a software suite that manages spending for commercial fleets and vehicles.
RaceTrac, headquartered in Atlanta, is a gas, food and beverage retailer with more than 550 stores in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Tennessee.
“At RaceTrac we proudly operate under the mission of making people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable, which includes making it easy for our fleet businesses to save at the pump,” said Melanie Isbill, the chain’s chief marketing officer.
“Fleet operators are a vital part of the economy and our business at RaceTrac. We’re always looking for ways to improve the fleet experience, and the partnership with Coast delivers on our commitment through fuel savings coupled with the ease of automatic rebates.”

The past few months have seen a number of companies launch similar measures as fuel prices continue to climb.
In April, fleet management platform Motive debuted the Motive Card, which offers businesses discounts at fuel providers such as Love’s, TA, Petro Stopping Centers and TA Express, along with savings on expenses like tires and maintenance.
Around the same time, TravelCenters of America, which operates the TA, Petro Stopping Centers and TA Express, unveiled its fleet card program, TA Fleet Universal.
The company said the card can be used at all 275 TA, Petro and TA Express travel centers as well various truck stops and retail fueling centers, offering cardholders benefits that include fuel and product discounts.
