Hyosung America Unveils Suite of Cash Management Products

Hyosung America has launched four retail products aimed at improving cash management and enabling cash-to-digital transactions: the X10 Cash-in-Sidecar, Series X MetaKiosk, Cajera CR-E and Hero cash dispenser, according to a Tuesday (July 19) press release.

The Series X10 Cash-in-Sidecar offers cryptocurrency purchases, payments and gaming ticket redemption.

“The device can be ‘bolted on’ to existing Hyosung cash dispensers to transform it into a full function device,” Hyosung America Chief Marketing Officer Brad Nolan said in the press release. “It’s an upgrade, not a replacement.”

The Series X MetaKiosk includes an immersive touchscreen, barcode scanner, NFC reader, ticket-in and ticket-out and more.

The X10 Cash-in-Sidecar and MetaKiosk are designed to be supported by Hyosung’s upcoming app store, which will allow any ATM operator using Hyosung’s retail software platform to subscribe and download apps including DigitalMint cryptocurrency, Money Remittance and Bill Pay to enable their ATMs to drive new revenue streams for the operators and their retailer partners, per the release.

The Cajera (Spanish for “cash”) CR-E is an entry-level cash recycler that provides cash automation and security to retail store owners of all sizes.

“Traditionally, cash automation has been reserved for larger, higher transaction volume retailers,” Hyosung America Vice President of Retail Strategy and Solutions Michael Graham said in the press release. “However, the Cajera CR-E provides cash automation for lower volume, smaller staffed retailers who previously couldn’t justify high-end cash recycler products.”

Hero, the redesigned MX5400, includes a new cash dispenser unit that provides spray dispense/bill presentation and auto recovery capability. It supports both WinCE and Win10 platforms and offers a range of transactions capabilities with the option to increase cash capacity for both retail and financial deployments along with a redesigned safe door and an optional UL291 L1-rated safe.

“Given the extended pandemic and resulting reduced physical shoppers in retail stores, the retail ATM industry has been hungry for a suite of products that would create more transactions and thus foot traffic for retailers,” Hyosung America Vice President of Retail Sales Marvin Bowers said in the release.
