The move further grows Gopuff’s European footprint, which began with the strategic acquisition of the British delivery platform Dija in August 2021. The startup also acquired the U.K.-based on-demand delivery firm Fancy.
Gopuff launched in the U.K. in November 2021. The acquisitions of Dija and Fancy gave it the use of 40 European micro-fulfillment centers.
Headquartered in Philadelphia and founded in 2013 by co-CEOs Rafael Ilishayev and Yakir Gola, Gopuff delivers everyday essentials from dark warehouses and selects, sources and owns its own inventory, offering customers local products.

In France, Gopuff offers an estimated 4,000 items in each of its 20+ local sites, which include fresh produce, eggs, dairy, and beverages. The company is also collaborating with local suppliers, wholesalers and sole traders such as Fédération Française de l’Apéritif, Boulangerie La Parisienne, Bratigny and several local bakeries, according to the release.
“Working with Gopuff has allowed us to see the market differently, always with the same objective: to serve our customers with quality fruit and vegetables, and as fresh a product as possible. From this collaboration, we will continue to connect the stars of our sector — the producer, their product and their land — with Gopuff’s customers,” said Boris Richeux, general manager of wholesaler Bratigny.
