Lumiera Health Debuts D2C Platform

Natural health product company Lumiera Health Inc. on Friday (Oct. 8) debuted its new direct-to-consumer (D2C) eCommerce platform, Holizen.com, giving Canadian customers the ability to buy Holizen Brand health tonics, supplements and Bazzzics sleep aids.

“This new eCommerce platform is another milestone on our path to drive significant growth in online revenue,” Lumiera Health CEO Carlos Ponce said in the company announcement. “It will help us expand our reach and bring our natural health products in the homes of more consumers across Canada.”

Lumiera also recently closed its non-brokered private placement, consisting of 18,333,335 shares in the company at $0.03 per share for gross proceeds of $550,000. Each shareholder can buy one additional common share in Lumiera for 6 cents each through Oct. 8, 2025.

Meanwhile, Rite Aid last month expanded its collaboration with Uber Technologies, Inc., and now offers delivery of healthcare items, groceries and Rite Aid products through the Uber Eats platform from 2,185 Rite Aid locations across the U.S. in 17 states.

Users can access a full catalog of healthcare and grocery products from their local Rite Aid store from the Uber Eats app. Uber Pass and Eats Pass customers get free delivery and 5% off all orders more than $15.

In addition to ridesharing and its newest partnership with Rite Aid, Uber also delivers restaurant food, groceries, convenience items, alcohol and other products, and offers users the ability to have orders from multiple stores and locations delivered simultaneously.

In May, Rite Aid also announced a partnership with DoorDash for same-day delivery, a move that Katie Finnegan, chief customer experience and eCommerce officer at Rite Aid, was about giving customers as many delivery options as possible.
