For those who feel the need to look fashionable in an instant, online fashion and beauty store ASOS now has their backs, according to a report from retail news site Chain Store Age.
The British online fashion site, which caters primarily to the young adult demographic, recently announced it has added ASOS Instant to its service lineup, according to news published Thursday (Oct. 12). The new offering means it is now possible for customers in certain London neighborhoods — those residing in any of the 122 ZIP codes, to be exact — to order and receive purchased items on the same day.
Orders for same-day ASOS delivery must be ordered from within a participating ZIP code before 10 a.m., Sunday through Friday, to qualify. Those orders will then be delivered to customers’ homes between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on the say of purchase, Chain Store Age reports.
The service fee for same-day delivery from ASOS comes in at £12.95.
“ASOS has a history of innovation in our use of technology, our trend-setting fashion and in the best-in-class delivery and service propositions we offer our customers,” said Matt Rogers, delivery solutions and returns director for ASOS. “We are excited about the introduction of ASOS Instant and will continue to explore new options that add convenience and choice for ASOS shoppers.”
The service is very limited now, but the company already has plans to build out the offering to other major U.K. cities “over the coming months,” the Chain Store Age article reported.
In the last year, the U.K.-based ASOS brand has been rather busily updating its services menu for its customers, Chain Store Age noted. The brand now features 9,000 click-and-collect locations around the U.K., one-hour deliveries and free returns, among other features.
