Target To Roll Out PillowSheets As Retailers Step Up Linen Offerings

Merchandise from PillowSheets, which makes a patented bedsheet that “eliminates loose bedding and integrates a pillow system,” will roll out on Target’s website before arriving in some of the retailer’s brick-and-mortar locations in future months, according to an announcement.

“We are over the moon to launch into Target stores and bring the PillowSheets brand to their customers. Finally, the PillowSheet experience can be had by everyone that shops with this retail giant,” PillowSheets founder and Chief Executive Dreamer Nadia Galloway said in the announcement.

Target serves customers at over 1,900 brick-and-mortar locations and through its website.

The news comes as all eyes are on how Gap’s first adventure and Walmart’s expansion further into home décor with the rollout of Gap Home on Walmart.com could shakeup an area that is already competitive.

The line encompasses more than 400 products throughout bath, bedding, tabletop and home décor.

As PYMNTS recently reported, Bed Bath & Beyond has rolled out an additional owned brand as part of its private label push. To that end, the Wild Sage label is available only at Bed Bath & Beyond. It is created for young adults and “the young at heart,” as per an announcement.

The Wild Sage collection will include products such as bedding, décor, furniture, bath and table linens in addition to pillowcases, sheets, vases, towels and wall décor.

“Wild Sage speaks to our young, fashionable and on-trend customers looking to express themselves and create a personal space that tells their unique story,” Joe Hartsig, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Bed Bath & Beyond and president of Harmon Stores, Inc., said in the June announcement.

Consumers can buy Wild Sage items in the merchant’s physical retail locations and through the web. Moreover, they can harness the merchant’s omnichannel offerings such as contactless curbside pickup and same-day delivery, as well as buy online, pick up in-store (BOPIS).
