From Tuesday (Jan. 20) through Feb. 28, customers can use their myDG account to get free delivery on one myDG Delivery order, the company said in a Thursday (Jan. 22) press release. Customers can also opt to pay a $1 “ASAP fee” to get the order in an hour or less.

The myDG Delivery service is available from more than 17,000 Dollar General stores through the DG app and website, according to the release.

The service is powered by Dollar General’s partnerships with DoorDash, which serves 18,000 of the company’s stores, and Uber Eats, which serves 17,000 of its stores, per the release.

“myDG delivery is helping bridge the digital gap by extending same-day delivery to rural communities nationwide,” Lydia Thatcher, vice president of digital commerce at Dollar General, said in the release. “We are proud to offer a service that not only brings convenience to our existing customers but also introduces new customers to the Dollar General brand through a frictionless digital experience.”

Dollar General began piloting its same-day delivery program in the second quarter of 2024 and expanded it to 75 stores by December 2024.

“As we launched this, the customer is telling us, ‘We want convenience and want that personalized experience,’” Dollar General CEO Todd Vasos said during a December 2024 earnings call. “The great thingabout the delivery piece is it’s a little different from other offerings. We’re using a third party.”

The company had already partnered with DoorDash for same-day delivery, beginning in November 2021.

Emily Taylor, who is now chief operating officer at Dollar General, said at the time that the retailer strives to “make shopping hassle-free and convenient.”

Dollar General added its partnership with Uber Eats in August 2025, positioning itself to compete for convenience with grocery delivery providers and Walmart’s online network.

“Our customers will enjoy even greater convenience through our Uber Eats partnership, accessing everything from food to essential household items, saving them valuable time and money,” Dollar General Chief Marketing Officer Tony Rogers said at the time in a press release.

Speaking of the same-day delivery service during a December 2025 earnings call, Vasos said: “We are seeing larger basket sizes than the average in-store transaction and a very strong repeat visit rate from customers on our delivery platform.”
