Groupon Names New Senior VP Of Product

Groupon on Monday (Aug. 4) appointed Parker Barrile as its SVP of product, leading Groupon’s web, design and mobile global product groups.

Groupon grabbed its new executive from the ranks of LinkedIn, where Barrile had served five years, leaving as Product Management VP, focusing on LinkedIn’s payments platform, premium subscriptions and talent. Before LinkedIn, he was the CEO of a prediction platform firm called Predictify as well as positions at Google and Bain & Company.

Barrile, who will officially join Groupon next month, will report to CEO Eric Lefkosky.

“Parker brings tremendous value to Groupon both as an entrepreneur and an established, effective product leader in global tech organizations,” said Groupon CEO Eric Lefkofsky. “He will help us evolve our local commerce platform to further engage our customers and help make Groupon a premier online shopping destination.”
