These organizations can access Priority Commerce’s support for Level III transaction data, which will allow them to reduce payment processing costs by unlocking lower interchange rates on eligible commercial card transactions, Priority Commerce said in a Tuesday (Aug. 4) press release.
They can also access Priority Commerce’s payment infrastructure via SeatGeek’s platform to support both card-not-present and card-present transactions, offering a seamless payment experience across the full ticketing commerce ecosystem, according to the release.
These capabilities are enabled by Priority Commerce’s new production-ready integration with SeatGeek, per the release.
“Modern sports and entertainment organizations need a commerce partner that provides total command of their payments environment,” Priority Commerce CEO Tom Priore said in the release. “This integration delivers the advanced tools teams and venues need to maximize their cash flow and optimize operational control to drive higher profits.”
Priority Technology Holdings, which operates as Priority Commerce, reported in May that it saw growth across all three segments of its connected commerce engine during the first quarter. Those segments include Payables, Treasury Solutions and Merchant Solutions.
In July, Priority Commerce announced that it entered a multiyear partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers to modernize the NFL franchise’s ticketing payments and financial infrastructure.
SeatGeek partners that can use the new capabilities enabled by the integration with Priority Commerce include teams, venues, leagues and other enterprise ticketing clients, according to the Tuesday press release.
“Priority Commerce is a strong addition to the SeatGeek platform,” Chris Sanger, vice president of payments and compliance at SeatGeek, said in the release. “It gives our partners more choice in how they manage their payment operations, and access to new financial tools.”
SeatGeek has been testing a broader thesis about where live entertainment is heading: a venue experience built around identity, payments and real-time personalization, Brannon Desseyn, product manager at SeatGeek, told PYMNTS in an interview posted in May.
“The payments piece of this is a recent addition,” Desseyn said. “Given the advancements in card issuing technology and the things that Apple and Google have been doing on the wallet front, it made it very easy for us to make progress here in a very quick amount of time.”
