Trulioo Appoints Evans To Serve As SVP of Identity Solutions

Global identity verification company Trulioo has named Garient Evans as its senior vice president of Identity Solutions, according to a Thursday (April 8) announcement emailed to PYMNTS.

Evans comes onboard amid a “hyper-growth stage” for the company, which is showcased by the rollout of Business Verification and ID Document Verification products to serve alongside its international electronic identity verification functionalities, according to the announcement.

“This appointment comes at a pivotal juncture in the company’s trajectory as we expand our product offerings and continue to innovate. In the current climate, seamless digital identity verification has never been more crucial both for businesses and individuals. Garient’s skill set will help to ensure we continue to provide the best possible solutions to our customers and their users,” Trulioo President and CEO Steve Munford said in the announcement.

Evans has over two decades of experience in credit, identity, fraud, document verification and compliance. Before joining Trulioo, Evans worked as Mitek’s head of North American Channel Partnerships.

Prior to that time, Evans bolstered the portfolio of fraud solutions and participated in the sector’s inaugural identity fraud detection score that brought together machine learning (ML) algorithms with personally identifiable information at ID Analytics.

Previously at Deloitte, Evans focused on global, financial services clients, concentrating on credit, collections and payments.

Evans has experience working with tech firms, credit bureaus and banks throughout the world, according to the announcement.

“Trulioo has set the standard for high-fidelity, global identity verification, and I’m thrilled to join the team that will make digital identification possible for everyone,” Evans said in the announcement.

In January, Trulioo announced that Matt Schatz would serve as its chief revenue officer. Schatz served as Cosential’s chief revenue officer before becoming a part of Trulioo.

Trulioo’s technology offers in-the-moment verification of 5 billion people and 330 million business entities throughout the globe via one application programming interface (API) integration.
