The company did so by integrating Visa’s real-time global money movement network, Visa Direct, according to a press release.
Integrating Visa Direct enables Lumanu to route cross-border payments directly to creators’ local accounts, bypassing intermediate banks, hidden foreign exchange markups and multiday delays, the release said.
This capability joins the visibility, compliance and spend controls that the Lumanu platform already offers brands and agencies, according to the release.
The platform lets brands fund a dedicated bank account, while Lumanu handles onboarding, tax compliance and real-time payouts to vendors, the release said.
Lumanu has paid over $1.5 billion to more than 100,000 vendors, per the release.

“Creators shouldn’t have to chase invoices or wonder when they’ll be paid,” Lumanu CEO Tony Tran said in the release. “Together with Visa, we’re showing brands and agencies there’s a better way. One that’s fast, transparent and built for the way marketing actually works today.”
Mark Nelsen, global head of product, commercial and money movement solutions at Visa said in the release: “Visa is deeply invested in empowering creators as the new face of entrepreneurship. Our collaboration with Lumanu brings this vision to life, making it easier for creators and small businesses to receive fast, secure and compliant payouts globally.”
Visa reported in October that Visa Direct transactions were up 23% in its fiscal fourth quarter, reaching 3.4 billion transactions.
The company and its partners have announced several other collaborations in recent months.
In November, Nuvei said it integrated Visa Direct for Account into its global payments platform, enabling merchants to send funds directly to consumers’ and workers’ bank accounts in eligible countries.
PNC Bank and Visa said in October that they were collaborating to enable the bank’s Treasury Management Platform to access real-time payment rails through Visa Direct and offer PNC clients streamlined and efficient money movement and payment processes.
Also in October, payments firm Alacriti launched an integration that melds Visa Direct with Alacriti’s Orbipay Payments Hub to offer more complete coverage of faster payments.
